A Former Book Lover

I am not one to make New Year resolutions because the truth is I NEVER stick to them. Come March I have forgotten all about them. But this next year I plan to make monthly resolutions and one of those monthly resolutions is to read a book a month and do a mini book review on the book.

I used to be an avid reader! I mean I could read up to 3 books a month. My parents couldn't keep up with me. I remember reading Avalon High by Meg Cabot when I was in 8th grade. I bought the book the day it came out and I stayed up all night reading it! My parents could not believe I read an entire book overnight.

I was always asked why do you read so much? My answer was always because it takes me into another world or another journey. Something very clique like that. But it is true for at least 30 minutes a day I could be someone else. I could forget about my algebra homework or how bad I did in ballet that night.


Meg Cabot was my first hero! She created so MANY worlds that I could escaped too. I have two favorite series from her and they are The Mediator and 1-800-Where- R-U.

I have decided to return to the series that still to this day is considered my ULTIMATE favorite book and that is The Mediator. I am getting excited just thinking about re-reading this book starting January 1st!

You may be wondering  why a 25 year old is returning back to a book that she read in middle school and the answer is well because I want a quick read to get back into the swing of things! Plus this book is amazing! I also would like to know how 25 year old me thinks of this book :)
